“I live three miles from here down Lower Roswell Road exactly and I drove by here four or five days a week and I could not understand why you had three story houses for people that were retiring why would they want to live in a three story house. I didn’t know about the cottages. Having a private elevator is certainly unique as far as I know. It was the architect’s layout of the of the place and I just loved the floor plan and all of a sudden it made good sense. I was fine in my house. I felt like I didn’t need to move at all. Had no reason to think about moving and I got the little color brochure that went out. You know you get a hundred of those a month and I throw 99 of them away without looking at them. After I looked at it Sterling seemed to offer so much. I didn’t feel that I needed to move but all of a sudden it just made sense from the standpoint of a reason to move to a place like Sterling. Now I can make the decision and I’m not gonna all of a sudden end up and I’m incapable of taking care of myself. Then I started thinking about all the people that I had to hire and pay for all the services that I had at my house that I wouldn’t have to do anymore. Once I had looked, I never had a question mark about should I do this or not. Everything fit together and just came together. This is the right thing for me to do. There are so many activities that are here. We have entertainment in the activity center or in the living room with somebody coming in to play the piano or a group to come in and sing. Our activities chairman, Catherine does a wonderful job of finding things that we all would like to do. You should never not have anything to do. I go to the center size every morning And at six days a week, I usually only go four, mainly toned up. Really, I’m not trying to get muscles or anything like that. It’s just enough to keep the body moving and hopefully keep myself in reasonable good shape. Sterling estates for anybody that is looking for a place. This is a wonderful group of people here. The facilities or first class and every detail that I can think of and the people that work here always want to be helpful and if you need something they’re there to help you and I feel this is my home, it’s not just a place to lay my head, it really is my home.”
