KT Neely, CTRS

Wellness Assistant

KT grew up in Macon, Georgia, and went to college at Georgia Southern University where she received her B.S. in Recreational Therapy and minored in Gerontology. Her internship was done at Sterling Estates East Cobb at the end of her senior year.  After graduating, she spent her first year out of college working at a skilled nursing facility as a Recreational Therapist. KT has taken the initiative to involve herself in the Recreational Therapy community through leadership roles with The Kyle Pease Foundation and Georgia Therapeutic Recreation Association (GTRA).

Her areas of expertise include developing individualized treatment plans, group facilitation, and exemplifying unconditional positive regard, empathetic understanding, and congruency. As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), she thrives on building client-therapist relationships while trying to promote functional growth and feeling of self-efficacy. KT was excited to join the Wellness team in December 2022 and continues to enrich the lives of our seniors daily.
